Microsoft Windows Vista

Is there a way to change the size of the icon's in the control panel like I can do with other parts of the operating system?I would like them a little bit smaller like that in XP

icons control panel

Hello,

If you have your control panel set to "classic view", you can change the size of the icons. Just right-click a white area of a control panel, click View, and select what size you want.

I don't think it is possible to change the size of the icons when control panel is set to "Control Panel Home".

Is it just me, or does anyone else have a problem with how cluttered Control Panel is in Vista? There are far too many icons, and far too many look alike. Sometimes I spend ages trying to find what I need..

Just turn off the ones you'll never use. You will probably be able to dothis with TweakUI once it comes out for Vista, but you can certainly do itmanually by editing control.ini's [don't load] section. I think.-- Michael Cecil

Do you think I could get them the same size as XP, set in classic view?I can alter the size in my computer for the drives etc

Just use the search function and you will find what you need instantly. You can also search on the Control Panel.
